What is VeracityNation?  Let’s start with some definitions:

The combination of definitions for Veracity and Nation which best match our motives for this site are:  A relatively large group of people organized under a single government who seek adherence to the truth.  Our objective for this site is to create a forum under which all may discover, through shared and verifiable information, necessary truths regarding our government, our environment (local/global) and our society.  This site will attempt to clear up disinformation by putting it to the test against necessary truths and circumstantial facts.  Some of this disinformation is put out by institutions and individuals where ulterior motives are the driving force behind the actions, some are purveyed simply from institutions and individuals who are not in the know.  Our perspective is that regardless of why it is out there, in order to ensure effective decisions, each individual must take the initiative to honor their responsibility of verifying facts before making decisions on them.  We hope that our participation in clearing up myths and misconceptions created by disinformation give the aforementioned individuals assistance in meeting those goals.  We do NOT take the stance of the ultimate authority on all matters, but rather question information that does not appear to pass the test of necessary truth and circumstantial fact verification.  It will be your input that will complete the goal of coming to conclusions that most effectively stand up to tests of verification, hence the “Nation” part of this site’s title.

As we post information we encourage our readers to post feedback.  We also would like input from everyone who visits this site about what you would like for us to research, and/or what findings you may have that you would like posted.  These suggestions should be sent to our e-suggestion box.

Although this web site’s goal is to share information for the purposes described above, we believe that knowledge plus inaction equals nothing in terms of value.  In addition to providing an unbiased as possible information source and discussion forum, another goal of this web site is to create an impetus for effective action.  In the future, as this site grows, we will attempt to create relationships between us and organizations that can assist in putting forth the conclusions that this community has come to. 

This site was created by two friends of nearly 30 years, who have an avid interest in discussing matters ranging from federal politics to local environmental issues.  Often we have found it difficult to achieve clarity from all of the disinformation surrounding our different perspectives.  In many cases the disinformation has led to us realizing that we actually agree on the positions we once thought were oposite each other.  One of the main reasons for this was the lack of documenting the verifiable facts which supported either, or both sides.  In an attempt to rectify this, we discovered an opportunity to make this more than just two friends talking (knowledge plus inaction).  So please join us in our thirst for the truth and knowledge to make effective decisions which can help us all.
